These materials come under the category of “polycarbonate”, are unbreakable and extremely lightweight. They do have a tendency to scratch more easily, so come with an anti-scratch coating. Quality ant-reflective coatings are also advised to reduce reflection from the lens edges, which improves the cosmetic appearance of the glasses.
