At our optometry office , we utilize state-of-the art equipment such as the Zeiss OCT Optos Retinal Scanning Laser, and Humphrey Auto-Refractor Visual Field Analyzer, which provides a higher level of care.
Our advanced equipment facilitates the early detection and management of eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts, helping to preserve your vision!
Examinations
Our optometry office examinations also include the detection and treatment of eye muscle imbalance, poor eye coordination and reduced focusing ability, which are common problems among children and 40+ year olds.
When indicated, our doctors fit any contact lenses required, including specialty lenses for astigmatism, monovision, (simultaneous far and near vision), or bifocal needs, as well as colored contact lenses for those who desire an updated look.
Should you choose to wear eyeglasses, we offers a modern eyewear boutique with hundreds of styles to choose from. Our licensed opticians are trained to help you select fashionable eyewear that compliments your lifestyle and fashion sense, all in a relaxed, friendly and caring atmosphere.

Measurement of eyeglass prescription, eye alignment, and focusing ability at distance, computer, and reading distances.
Ocular/neurological pupil testing and eye movement/tracking evaluation.
Measurement of peripheral vision sensitivity.
External ocular health evaluation and testing for the presence of dry eye, ocular allergies, and viral or bacterial infections.
Internal ocular health evaluation – examination for the presence of any internal eye diseases, including cataract, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and peripheral retinal degenerations.

Premium Contact Lenses and Fittings
We fit all contact lenses including soft, rigid, gas permeable, toric and bifocal.
For patients interested but not sure if they can wear contacts, we offer a trial fitting to evaluate the patient’s success before they order lenses.
This enables the patient to try out contacts before they commit to purchasing them.
There is only a fee for our time in providing the fitting, solutions and follow-up care.

Robert Turcios Jr., OD
Dr. Robert Turcios Jr. is a second generation optometrist who has practiced in Pleasant Hill since 1984. He was born and raised in the Bay Area and attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in 1978 and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1980, earning academic awards for Excellence in Binocular Vision and Outstanding Merit for his doctoral thesis.
